# Flyte

Flyte is an open source, Apache 2.0 licensed runtime for running AI workloads such as training, serving and agents as Python workflows. It recovers from infrastructure failures such as OOM kills and preempted nodes, and from code failures by resuming the failed task with the same inputs. Users run open-source Flyte on their own Kubernetes cluster, and Union.ai offers a commercial managed version.
