# Jupyter

Project Jupyter is a non-profit open-source project that develops the Jupyter Notebook, JupyterLab, JupyterHub and related tools for interactive computing across programming languages. Its software is released under the modified BSD license and developed openly on GitHub. The Notebook combines live code, equations, narrative text and visualizations in one document, and its notebook format and kernel protocol are open standards. The project does not provide Jupyter as a service, so organizations run it on their own or a service provider's infrastructure.
