What we publish
The index publishes category leaderboards, product profiles, brand portfolio rollups, buyer-question evidence, cited domains, and dated methodology context. Products rank within categories; brands summarize the published products connected to them. Public pages are generated only from entities and evidence that pass the existing route-readiness and quality gates.
The aim is transparency: a reader can move from a score to the applicable category, data window, prompt evidence, product record, brand relationship, and source context instead of relying on an unexplained list.
What we do not claim
A visibility score is not a review score, customer-satisfaction score, market-share estimate, or guarantee of product fit. AI systems and their sources change, so the index is a dated observation rather than a permanent verdict. Slate does not sell ranking placement or replace missing evidence with promotional filler.
About Slate
Slate builds software for AI search visibility, content operations, analytics, workflows, and publishing. Slate Index is a public Slate project with its own canonical site and evidence inventory. The index links to Slate as its parent organization while keeping public ranking evidence separate from private customer workspace content.
Accountability
The product and data team owns methodology and publication behavior. The editorial and support team owns public explanations and correction intake. Privacy and service terms follow Slate's official legal notices. Readers can use the contact and correction routes to identify errors or ask how a public result was produced.
