The governing terms

Slate's official Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of Slate's platform, websites, and services. They cover eligibility, accounts, user content, acceptable use, intellectual property, payments where applicable, privacy, third-party services, disclaimers, liability, termination, dispute terms, changes, and contact information.

This local summary does not amend or replace the official terms. If the two differ, the official terms control and the summary should be corrected.

Informational evidence, not purchasing advice

Slate Index provides time-bound observations of how products appear in eligible AI answers. Scores, ranks, cited domains, summaries, and prompt evidence are informational. They are not warranties, professional advice, endorsements, product certifications, or guarantees that a product will fit a buyer's requirements.

AI providers, models, retrieval systems, public sources, prompts, product rosters, and software offerings change. Review the displayed date, methodology, underlying source context, and the vendor's current information before making a decision.

Permitted use and attribution

You may browse and link to public canonical pages subject to the official terms and applicable law. When quoting a score, rank, or dataset, identify Slate Index as the source and include the relevant category and data window so the observation is not presented as timeless.

Do not use automated access to disrupt the service, evade access controls, misrepresent stale data as current, remove source context, or imply that Slate endorses a product or claim when it does not.

Third-party sources and services

The index links to vendors, cited domains, AI providers, and other third-party services. Slate does not control their availability, content, privacy practices, or terms. A link or citation is evidence context, not an endorsement of every statement or practice of that third party.

Corrections and changes

Report a suspected factual error through the correction process. Slate may update, withhold, or correct pages as evidence, entities, policy, or service behavior changes. Source and audit history may be retained for reproducibility and rollback.
